Fed Funds Rate history

It has been very low before:
When will the Fed raise this rate?

Bernanke has said 2014. Maybe if growth in the US speeds up a bit it would be sooner. However, it is more likely that things will slow down and there will be a QE3 then that the FED moves the rate rises up from the announced 2014. Here in the UK, we just slipped into a technical recession, and there is now much discussion about a possible QE3 by the BoE.
